The Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab

The Ford Super Duty Chassis cab out-hauls out tows all other class 3-5 chassis cabs. The Super duty Chassis cab gas engines – the 6.2L V8 and 6.8L V10 – deliver all the power you’d need for the tough everyday jobs you face on the job site or on the road. Teamed with the proven Ford TorqShift SelectShift 6-speed automatic, both engines can be equipped with the available Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) provision with Mobile Mode. for heavy-duty diesel performance, the latest generation of the available Power Stroke Turbodiesel V8 is the most powerful ever in a Ford Super Duty Class 3-5 chassis cab.

There are no other chassis cabs that deliver as much torque (430 lb.-ft) as the Super Duty 6.2L V8, standard in the F-350. The 6.2L has tuning and camshaft configurations designed to increase peak torque at lower rpm, generating serious torque output to move almost anything. The Super Duty also comes with standard AdvanceTrac, Roll Stability Control (RSC), and trailer sways control on single-and deal-rear-wheel models. Both systems use gyroscopic sensors and apply a combination of reduced engine power and selective wheel braking to help maintain control of the vehicle and the trailer in tow. The cab is made of high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that’s lighter than steel yet incredibly strong. Some of that weight savings went into making the axles, chassis, and steering components stronger. Plus, the fully boxed under-cab and C-channel aft-of-cab frame is built of 95 percent high-strength steel. That means hauling and towing capability you can depend on to deliver every workday. The only chassis cab capable of showing work who’s boss.
